The IB Diploma Programme (DP) may be a good fit for students that aspire to study at a global university, as many higher education institutions recognize that the DP prepares students well for undergraduate studies.
Veronica Ciastko and her parents were looking for an academically challenging high school experience and together decided that Veronica should enroll in the DP at her school in Chicago.
"There was the understanding that doing IB gave you a leg up in applying to good universities and getting scholarships," says Veronica, who now studies creative writing at the University of British Columbia in Canada.
