To maintain the integrity of assessments, the IB will introduce additional exam paper variants, allowing for more flexibility in delivering unique exams to students in different regions.

This newest change follows recent alterations enacted during the November 2024 session:

  • A minimum supervision period of two hours during the exam will be required, regardless of the exam length. Student supervision can continue in the exam venue or another dedicated space to be decided by the school.
  • The IB will adjust start times for exams in certain schools in Exam Zone A. Updated schedules are available on the PRC and will be updated on IB Insights following the registration deadline in November.
  • Schools are required to clear the memories of all Graphical Display Calculators (GDCs) or any similar devices with stored memory. This includes resetting the RAM and ROM memory where applicable.

The IB strives to ensure fair outcomes for all students in recognition of their hard work throughout the year and through completion of their IB diploma.
