The International Baccalaureate (IB) is delighted to welcome more than 1,100 IB educators, school leaders, and thought leaders from the Asia-Pacific region to the first IB Global Conference of 2026 in Mumbai, from 26–28 March.
With more than 70 sessions taking place, participants will have the opportunity to discover fresh approaches to IB programmes, learn from leading experts in education, and network with peers throughout the IB community.
In an increasingly polarised world, the theme for 2026 – “Shared Learning, Shared Futures” – invites participants to exchange ideas across different perspectives, an essential step in creating a better and more peaceful world. IB educators are uniquely positioned to nurture the skills of thoughtful dialogue and drive the vital work of creating collaborative spaces, thereby encouraging deeper learning, intercultural understanding, and respect.
The IB’s Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen will give opening remarks examining the critical role of educators in the age of artificial intelligence, before the first of three general sessions featuring a trio of keynote speakers:
- Neeraj Aggarwal – Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group in Singapore, and a thought leader in digital and AI-driven transformation.
- Dr. Yuhyun Park – Founder of the DQ Institute and a globally recognized authority on digital skills, ethics, and the digital economy, Dr. Park created the Digital Intelligence (DQ) Framework, the global standard for digital literacy and skills, as well as the Child Online Safety Index (COSI).
- Adam Voigt – Author of Restoring Teaching, Voigt seeks to empower leaders and educators with the tools, skills, and attitudes necessary to build meaningful, productive relationships in schools.
The IB has been present in India since 1976, with 269 IB World Schools operating in the country. This 50-year journey underscores a deep, long-term commitment to a nation where education is central to its social, economic, and innovative ambitions.
The IB’s philosophy aligns closely with India’s direction, emphasizing critical thinking, learner agency, global mindedness, and the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing world.
Register here before 25 March to attend the conference. Please note that onsite registration is not permitted.
