The youth summit, an official UN Summit of the Future Action Day virtual event, seeks to encourage dialogue around meaningful youth engagement. During the event, youth leaders and participants will discuss topics that shape global education policies and issues including climate change, peacebuilding, and sustainability practices through the lens of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 4.

In past years, the Festival of Hope has represented and elevated the voices of thousands of IB and non-IB students worldwide. This free virtual event will continue that tradition, welcoming any young learners and students who wish to attend globally.

The summit intends to bridge a variety of perspectives offering a unique opportunity to connect with students from around the globe. Following a series of interactive programming, guest speakers and collaboration, organizers hope to compile a set of inspiring stories of youth action and recommendations for how organizations around the world can engage with powerful and diverse youth voices in meaningful ways.

“Your Voice, Your Future” aligns with the Summit of the Future (SOTF), scheduled by the United Nations in September 2024, which addresses global challenges and enhances international cooperation.

Participants can register for the event online.
