The International Baccalaureate and Scotch College join efforts to deliver the Online Diploma Programme (DP) pilot to high school students across Western Australia. The collaboration aims to increase Australian students’ access to high-quality international education throughout the region, developing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in life beyond school.

Scotch College and the IB will fully implement an Online Diploma Programme pilot providing students with an innovative educational experience. Scotch College has been an authorized IB school since 2003, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). Now, with its newest center of excellence, Scotch Global, the school will extend its offering to include the DP online.

The Online Diploma Programme (DP) empowers students to delve into their unique talents and interests, from academics to arts, in an environment that blends global accessibility with the benefits of in-person instruction. This innovative learning approach aims to support each student’s educational journey while aligning with their goals and aspirations for their future.

Through the online pilot, the IB aims to explore new pathways to better understand the needs of students who may not be able to attend traditional brick-and-mortar schools. Furthermore, the pilot program works alongside and informs the IB strategy to innovate collaboratively with our global community, empower IB students to take ownership of their learning, and develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a fast-changing world.
