The IB has launched a new mode of workshop delivery to ensure we respond to the learning needs of schools worldwide during the global pandemic.
Virtual workshops are synchronous learning experiences available to schools and groups of schools upon request. They involve live interaction with workshop facilitators through a dedicated virtual platform, or ‘virtual classroom’. Educators engage with the same content and achieve the same learning outcomes as our face-to-face workshops.
This new way to participate in workshops virtually allows schools seeking authorization or preparing for evaluation to meet the IB’s professional development requirements. To request a virtual workshop, a minimum of seven participants are required.
How do virtual workshops work?
Participants can access our virtual platform individually from their personal computers in the comfort of their homes, completing both synchronous and asynchronous (self-paced) learning activities over 2 consecutive days.
Certificates of Completion
A completion certificate will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the workshop. Please read our completion requirements here.
Have you already completed a workshop? You can access your certificate of completion here.
