Face-to-face (F2F) workshops take place at several events which the IB and our partners organize throughout the world. Every event generally consists of multiple workshops, hosted at conference venues, hotels and IB World Schools.
F2F workshops are scheduled on a yearly basis, and take place over two to three consecutive days, facilitated in all three IB official languages: English, French, Spanish. Face-to-face workshops are scheduled learning experiences with specific fixed times and dates. They are ideal for educators looking to interact and network with colleagues from other IB World Schools and non-IB schools.

PD requirements
The IB establishes minimum professional learning requirements, which serve as a starting point for comprehensive, strategic professional learning that leads to stronger programme implementation and positive student outcomes. Please read the summary of PD requirements.
Completion criteria
To fulfil the criteria for completion, participants must attend all sessions of the workshop, as confirmed by attendance lists submitted to the IB post-event. A certificate of attendance will be awarded to all participants who successfully meet the aforementioned criteria.
Cancellation policy
For any cancellation occurring 22 days or more prior to the first day of the workshop, a full refund of any registration fees paid will be credited to your school account, which can be used toward other IB invoices. Cancellations made 21 days or less prior to the first day of an IB event will incur a penalty of 100% of the registration fee.
The IB reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. We endeavour to give participants as much advance notice as possible of any change to their enrolment. In the unlikely event that the IB must cancel a workshop, we will refund any registration fee paid to your school account, which can be used toward other IB invoices.
Credit card payments will be refunded to the same card used at registration.
Please note that the IB does not reimburse participant travel expenses.
Certificates of attendance
Have you already completed a workshop? Go to My IB PD History portal to access previous certificates.
The IB sends certificates directly to participants and their coordinators upon successful completion of a PD workshop. Schools have access to their participants’ certificates in the registration system. The IB will not withhold certificates from participants at the request of schools and/or coordinators.
