Ms Elaine Cheung is a purpose-driven global business leader with over 30 years of experience as CFO and Independent Board Director. With a career spanning healthcare, consumer goods, aquaculture, food-tech, education, and supply chain management, she has successfully led purpose-led, financially sustainable, and outcome-focused businesses.
In her executive roles, Elaine has driven transformative changes across MNCs, start-ups, and family businesses, with notable brands including Dole, Temasek, VF (The North Face, Timberland, Vans, Lee, Wrangler), and Zuellig Pharma.
She currently manages a portfolio of board and advisory roles. She serves as Audit Committee Chair for Novotech Health and XCL Education, both PE-backed by TPG and Temasek, and as Non-Executive Director at EastWest Seed, a Dutch family-owned MNC with a mission to serve smallholder farmers. As Board Trustee for the International Baccalaureate and WWF International, she contributes to shaping AI's role in education and steering growth within planetary boundaries, two commitments that find natural expression in her newest role at OceanX Education, an operating programme of Dalio Philanthropies.
Her prior board experience includes the UN World Food Programme (2020 Nobel Peace Laureate), Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals, a Sino-British SOE joint venture, an ADB-nominated directorship at Mountain Hazelnut Group, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
