United Kingdom
The IB has posted information on IB qualifications to meet the regulatory requirements of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the qualifications regulator for England.
This information is specific to England and related to Ofqual’s definitions. It includes
- the name of the qualification according to Ofqual regulations conventions
- the qualification number
- the level of the qualification according to Ofqual’s Regulatory Qualifications Framework
- the guided learning hours
- the total qualification time.

Candidate school fees
Schools seeking authorization to offer one or more IB programmes pay fees during the authorization process. These fees cover the various aspects of the authorization process, including support from IB personnel, reports and visits to the school.

Assessment fees
In the Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP), students take exams. Schools pay a fee for each student in the exams.

Letters from UK universities in support of DP courses
The UK’s Department for Education (DfE) is undertaking reforms of funding to post-16 qualifications at level 3 and below.
