COVID-19 related resources on cohort retention and growth

These online resources may help schools as they begin to develop priorities and strategies for their school community to provide systems of support for students and their families through the pandemic and post-pandemic return to school.

Phil Evans, Senior Market Researcher and Laura Lane, IB World Schools Manager were joined by Libby Rogovoy who leads all of the IB programmes in Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, Amanda Krieger from Weld County School District in Colorado and Walter Hall from Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District in North Carolina with a panel of reflective peers—including Edrika Hall from Prince Georges County Public Schools, Maryland, Dr Ovura Murphy from Atlanta Public Schools, Georgia, Jean Parlamento from School District of Palm Beach County, and Dan Wartik, IB Lead Educator and former Head of School at North Kansas City High School, Kansas—as they share their plans while they look forward to a post-pandemic recovery.

These are sample plans provided by the participants which schools may wish to review as they begin their planning.
