Facts about the region

As of July 2019, International Baccalaureate® (IB) programmes are being taught in 94 countries, across 1,214 schools in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Schools may teach more than one IB programme, of which:

  • 388 offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • 320 offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP)
  • 990 offer the Diploma Programme (DP)
  • 87 offer the Career-related Programme (CP).
