Year in review 2019 - 2020
The IB’s Year in review 2019 – 2020 reflects on the progress we have made in fulfilling our mission to create a better world through education.
The IB’s Year in review assesses our progress against key performance indicators during the past financial year—including the development of our IB programmes and growth of our student community.
Our academic independence to develop curricula and programmes relies on our organization’s financial performance. Our yearly review also reports on our commitment to maintain healthy financial reserves to ensure we provide more services for our schools—especially while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt learning and teaching worldwide.
Despite the unprecedented challenges we have all faced, we continued to witness the incredible work of IB educators, students, alumni and members of our global community. We celebrate their achievements and we are proud to highlight their impact in our Year in review.
“...while the world has seen disruption in all aspects of life, education was especially affected—our learning and teaching services morphed to accommodate the new needs of schools.” – IB Director General, Dr Siva Kumari |
