Interested in presenting a breakout session at the IB Global University Admissions Conference 2025?

We invite proposals from both IB university and career counsellors (UCCs) and universities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to professional development, focusing on how to better support IB students through the university admissions process. For your session, you may wish to consider the following topics.

For UCCs:

  • Applying to universities in specific countries (e.g., UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.)
  • Counselling IB students: cohorts with mixed programmes, particular subject choices
  • How UCCs can better support IB students in their application process
  • Supporting student well-being.

For universities:

  • Applying to universities in specific countries and presenting with other universities in your region
  • Insight from both sides of the desk: collaborating with UCCs on how universities and schools can better support student transitions
  • How to write a good personal statement
  • Understanding admission systems: UCAS, Studielink, French Baccalaureate, etc.
  • Tips on writing personalized recommendation letters: how to best use technology, collaboration between colleagues and with students.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is October 11, 2024. Submissions received after this date will not be considered. You will be informed about the outcome of your application by November 1, 2024.
