IB Community Inspiration Award

People and communities build and shape the IB. We want to recognize those who show up every day, connect and build bridges—those who inspire us. The IB Community Inspiration Award is dedicated to individuals who make impactful contributions to their communities.

The power of the IB resides in our community 

We are always inspired by our IB community members and their incredible local and global contributions and impact. Now we want to formally recognize and celebrate individuals through the newly launched IB Community Inspiration Award—and we need you to nominate award recipients! 

 

 

From 2026 onwards, we will select three IB Community Inspiration Award recipients each year, representing our three regions: Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Africa, Europe and the Middle East. 

Who can nominate? 

  • You can submit a nomination if you are part of the IB community at an IB World School or a candidate school, or if you are a member of IB associations, networks, providers, partners, groups, districts, or systems. 

Who to nominate? 

  • You can nominate students, alumni, parents, educators, administrators, or anyone with direct ties to IB World Schools, associations, networks, providers, partners, groups, districts or systems. 
  • Excluded: current IB staff members, current IB Board members, self-nominations. 

How to nominate? 

  • Submit your nomination through the form below by 14 November 2025, 11:59 pm Eastern time, in English, French or Spanish.
  • You may nominate one individual.

Announcing the winners 

Awardees will be notified in January 2026. The IB will present the awards to the winners at the respective IB Global Conferences: 

  • Asia-Pacific: IB Global Conference, Mumbai (26 – 28 March 2026) 
  • Americas: IB Global Conference, Denver (16 – 18 July 2026) 
  • Africa, Europe, Middle East: IB Global Conference, Lyon (22 – 24 October 2026)
