Building a fairer education system, for the future
The IB is an educational framework taught in nearly 2,000 schools across the USA, where we’ve been active for over 50 years. The IB offers education for students from 3 to 19 and focuses on four frameworks which teach students to think critically and independently.
Why we’re different
Many educational programmes focus on ‘containment’ for child development. This doesn’t account for the changing world, and what skills will be needed tomorrow.
The IB is embracing cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) as tools rather than challenges to equip students with the skills of the future.
Why we’re fairer
We provide opportunity. 60% of our public schools receive Federal Title 1 funding and our students come from economically diverse backgrounds, and a range of communities.
Many of the highest achieving IB students receive scholarships, credits, and/or advanced standing, which offers a steppingstone for economic and personal development to students.
The IB is helping to make society fairer by providing access to high quality education for all. Our research shows that 82% of US IB graduates enrolled in college immediately after graduating from high school, compared to 66% of all US high school graduates.
