At the IB, sustainability is a primary goal. We acknowledge the pressing need to tackle the climate crisis and are proactively implementing measures to minimize our ecological footprint. Here’s how we’re incorporating sustainable practices at the conference.
Green conference venue
Jio World Centre is LEED Platinum compliant and is part of a socially responsible and environmentally sensitive convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct. The venue has taken several steps towards a sustainable approach, which include landscaping 20% of the total building area with over 700 native trees, water recycling, electric charging points for vehicles and on-site waste management.
Sustainable printing and production
We’re reducing paper use by adopting digital solutions such as a mobile app, online registration, digital signs and an event website. Where printed signs and branding are required, we work with local vendors to use recyclable fabrics or sustainable materials wherever possible.
All giveaway items in IB welcome bags are made with recyclable materials and designed for reusability. Attendees are encouraged to recycle their paper name badges at the end of the conference, by dropping them in the recycling bins around the venue.
Sustainable catering
Food served at the Jio World Centre is prepared using fresh ingredients that are locally and responsibly sourced. The venue’s kitchens follow a smart waste management system to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover all waste.
Community engagement
The IB is committed to supporting the local community beyond the conference. We will work with local organizations to donate leftover stationery and materials, ensuring that surplus resources are put to good use.
Education and awareness
Education is key to building a sustainable future. We encourage you to attend pre-conference workshops or breakout sessions that focus on sustainability concepts and practices to enhance your understanding and inspire action.

- Use the conference app instead of printing the programme.
- Eat mindfully—take only what you can finish and enjoy meals served in eco-friendly packaging.
- Sort your waste into the designated bins.
