Explore the 2027 theme
This year’s theme, “Shared Learning for a Shared World,” invites educators to share practices and ideas that strengthen connection and meaningful progress in education across the continent.
The theme will be explored through two strands:
Community
Schools are more than places of learning. They are ecosystems in which belonging, participation and shared responsibility can grow.
This strand will explore how education can strengthen connections within schools and their wider communities, while helping learners understand the contribution they can make to society.
Connected Futures
The future we are preparing learners for is shared, interconnected and shaped by collective responsibility.
This strand will explore how education can help learners understand and care for the planet we share, navigate connection across cultures and contexts, and act together towards a more sustainable future.
