Average weather in March: 7 Centigrade or 45 Fahrenheit
Getting there by plane: Dublin Airport is located 10.0 km or 6.2 mi north of Dublin in Collinstown.
Transportation: There are two express bus services between the airport and the city, you can choose between Airlink (route 747) and Aircoach. Travel time to downtown Dublin is approx. 40 min. and tickets cost 10 Euro (return). Dublin Bus operates several 'local' services to and from the airport which are cheaper than the express buses. Most useful of these for visitors is probably route 16 which runs across the city centre and deep into the Southside suburbs. It runs at 30min. intervals - check timetables at www.dublinbus.ie. The fare depends on the distance you travel. The journey time to downtown Dublin is 45 minutes. Tickets cost € 3.30 per person and are available from the bus driver. A taxi ride to the city centre costs € 30.
Dublin is a very easy and convenient city to get around. Public transportation is good, taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. The vast majority of the capital’s best sites are concentrated in the city center, an area of no more than a few square kilometers.
