The IB educator network (IBEN) ensures that the IB provides a high-quality experience in classrooms and schools.

Through IBEN, educators can support the IB in a number of roles, becoming workshop leaders, schools visitors and consultant visitors.

IBEN benefits educators as well as schools.

Educators can improve the quality of their classroom teaching and enhance their competitive advantage in the education sector.

Schools will have the opportunity to comment on IB programme development and have training paid for by the IB.

IBEN Opportunities in Africa, Europe and the Middle East

If you’d like to join the IB Educator Network, follow these four easy steps below and you’ll be on your way to supporting IB activities in your region and even across the globe.

Step 1: Click here to register your personal account for My IB, which will give you access to IB Roles. You will receive an email to complete your registration.

Step 2: Next, apply for an IBEN Role by accessing the IB Roles button. To access IB Roles click the "My IB" link at the top of our web pages. Note: Your application will only be considered once you have registered for a training.

Step 3: Finally, apply for IBEN Training using IB Roles when an opportunity becomes available.

Step 4: Upon successful completion of your IBEN training, you will become an IB Educator and part of a network of educators committed to the IB mission.

Available IBEN training events are displayed and open for registration via IBE Roles. When you select and register for a specific event, your application will be submitted for review. Please check back on IB Roles for updates to your application status.

School Services Roles: IBEN

There are a number of School Services roles in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

For each role, you can work in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP).

The IB has roles for:

• School visits team leaders
• School visits team members
• Consultants
• Progress report readers.

Professional development Roles: IBEN

The IB also requires programme field representatives and workshop leaders in the region. There are positions available for all four IB programmes.

The IB has pre-requisites for candidates, which are outlined in our more detailed role descriptions.
