Oberlin City Schools is seeking individuals licensed by Ohio Dept. of Education (or eligible) for multiple positions for Diploma, MYP, and PYP:

1)* MYP/DP Spanish/French (dual certified) Teacher for Oberlin High School Grades 9-12

2) Guidance Counselor for Oberlin High School Grades 9-12;

3) Multiple PYP Teacher positions for PK-2 Eastwood Elementary School (Grades 1, 2, and Physical Education (part-time));

4) Intervention Specialist for Prospect Elementary (Grades 3-5)

International Baccalaureate experience is preferred. Only those candidates who are committed to the highest personal and professional standards need apply. Experience with multicultural environments is desired. In addition to transformed academic performance, OHS is the regional leader is fine arts. Every one of our graduating seniors in the past three years were admitted to one or more colleges or universities, and all but a few have chosen to attend post secondary education. Oberlin City School District is the first school district in the entire state to be authorized to offer the IB Continuum - (Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Program).

*Position #1: Prefer candidates certified to teach BOTH Spanish and French; However, will consider Spanish only OR Spanish and Mandarin Chinese combination as well.

Position #2: Guidance Counselor with in-depth understanding of the International Baccalaureate program for both the Middle Years and the Diploma Program.  Experience with Naviance, OCIS, Ohio Graduation Test coordination, administration of PLAN and PSAT, as well as scheduling with Power School software. Strong desire to work with parents and students to prepare them for college or the world of work.

Position #3: Elementary Teacher for grades 1, 2; Reading Endorsement or background and/or IB experience preferred.
Also Physical Education Teacher (part time grades K-2).   Location: Eastwood Elementary

Position #4: Intervention Specialist to work with special needs students at Prospect Elementary Grades 3-5.
