IB Asia Pacific Newsletter
Quarter Three, 2006
RHRC
It is with very mixed feelings that I write this last article on behalf of the RHRC for the IB Asia-Pacific newsletter. I have had the opportunity, first as secretary and then as chair, to play a role in the development of our committee. Through our wide range of background and experience; our enthusiasm for all three IB programmes and thanks to the support of our School Boards, we have had influence on IB in our region.
Through our membership of other IB committees like the Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) and the International Heads Representative Committee (IHRC) we have had input in decisions, development and priorities in the world of IB. At the same time, though our direct involvement in regional conferences and the world conference in Bangkok in 2005, we have shown our commitment towards furthering the work of IB in relation to providing the best possible learning opportunities for our students.
I take this opportunity to thank my RHRC and RAC colleagues, our Regional Director, Judith Guy and her excellent staff in the Singapore office and most importantly my colleagues in the education world in the Asia Pacific region for their consistent, active and excellent support. At the same time, I wish you all the very best for the regional conference in Hanoi in October and hand over, with utmost confidence to Karin Caffin, the next chair of the RHRC.
