University Recognition
Recognition updates
Over the past few months we have been putting together a number of documents relating to university recognition for students pursuing tertiary education around the world. Much of our current understanding on student migratory trends comes from transcript requests submitted by IB diploma coordinators at the end of the diploma program. Recently we have added a feature on IBIS for coordinators to enter the ‘potential university destinations’ for recent IB graduates. If you are a DP coordinator, please ensure that you take the time to enter this important data on IBIS.
During the October Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Beijing, a number of presentations were made regarding IB students, research initiatives, and university recognitions updates. If you would like to download these presentations please follow the links on the conference website. If you have trouble downloading any of these presentations, please contact ibapevents@ibo.org
During September and October, regional recognition staff travelled throughout New Zealand, South Korea, and Australia to reinforce recognition of the IB diploma in a number of universities in these countries. As updated recognition policies become available to us, we will post them on the IB recognition country specific section of the public website, found at http://www.ibo.org/diploma/recognition/index.cfm
As always, if there are questions regarding university or country recognition that you are unable to find answers to on our website, please do not hesitate to contact our office here in Singapore or our regional offices and representatives throughout the region.
