PYP Network Group

On 25 November 2005, Ray Sullivan, Elementary Principal/Chair of the Network Group and Catherine Nicol, Assistant Elementary Principal/PYP Coordinator/Co-chair of the Network Group welcomed 19 members of the Network PYP Network Group at Yokohama International School.  Among them were PYP Coordinators Sarah Watson from Hiroshima International School, Rick Elya from Osaka International School, Alex Inman from European School, Terry Tiplady from K. International School, Inese Zvirgzdins from Tokyo International School and Toni Bell from Seisen International School. There were representatives from the two new schools, namely the Horizon International School and Happy Days Preschool. Moreover, it was very nice to see as many as seven Japanese language teachers who came to hear about the Japanese program and the PYP presented by Akiko Taira and Kayo Yoshida. In addition, a variety of topics including professional development planning were discussed.

I would like to express special thanks to Ray Sullivan and Catherine Nicol who completed the two-year term as chair and co-chair of the Network group.  The officers of the next two years will be Sasha Marshall, Principal of K. International School together with Terry Tiplady, PYP Coordinator of KIST.
