IB Africa, Europe and Middle East Regional Conference 2013 venue - The Hague

The 2013 Regional Conference will take place in The Hague, in the western part of The Netherlands. The Hague, known as the ‘International City of Peace’, provides a lively yet pleasant atmosphere, and is a superb place to visit, be it for business or pleasure. The conference, which will be hosted in the World Forum, will have special facilities for delegates and exhibitors alike, allowing excellent interaction and visibility for all.
This royal city, with its location close to the sea, is not only plentiful in terms of nature and culture, but offers a vibrant city life within a historical setting. The Hague seats the Dutch government, parliament, supreme court and council of state. Most foreign embassies and many international organisations including the International Court of Justice (the ‘Peace Palace’), the ICC (International Criminal Court) reside here, making The Hague one of the major cities hosting the United Nations.
As a participant, you will not only have the chance to enjoy the extensive programme
on offer, but have the opportunity to sample the delights of this wonderful city and its surrounding. Amsterdam, the Dutch cosmopolitan capital is only a short train ride away and offers attractions such as The Anne Frank House and world famous ‘Rijksmuseum’ (opening this year after a decade of closure), home of Rembrandt’s ‘Nightwatch’.
This year, the Peace Palace will celebrate its 100 year anniversary, and simultaneously, the IB will mark its 45th anniversary as a leading provider of international education. The IB Africa, Europe and Middle-East Regional Conference 2013, will be truly one to remember.
We will ensure that your attendance at the conference will allow you to engage with thought leaders in your field, as well as to network with school heads and educators from different parts of the world – a truly unique experience, not to be missed.
