Production assistant (Publishing services department) Ref 63

Fixed-term contract for 6 months

Salary: £12,743 - £16,991

This post is based in the production team, which produces a range of curriculum support materials, primarily in English, French and Spanish, for distribution to IB World Schools and for sale. Working closely with production colleagues, and with in-house authors, editors, translators and sales staff, as well as external suppliers, you will undertake production work for assigned print and online materials in various languages to ensure the quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness of the process and outputs.

You will have a good level of general education (to at least A-level or IB Diploma standard, or equivalent) and a minimum of one year’s administrative/office experience. You must have a meticulous eye for detail, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work confidently with a variety of different software packages. You must also possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to schedule and prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet strict deadlines.

Some experience of working in a publishing environment would be an advantage, as would experience of working on materials in languages other than English.
