This position manages the delivery and quality assurance for all IB Asia Pacific professional development activities.
Professional development (PD) plays a key role in the organization’s mission. It is driven by the need to develop, pilot, implement and maintain policies, procedures, programmes and resources targeted at improving the quality of administering, coordinating, teaching and delivering the IB programmes. In this context, the jobholder will work extensively with colleagues from other IB divisions within the regional office and their global counterparts in PD.
The jobholder will also be required to complete the day-to-day administrative duties of the Professional Development department in addition to making decisions regarding the PD calendar in a and supervising the PD Associate Manager.
The post holder will also manage the professional development activities and contractual arrangements with professional development (PD) providers (outsourced) who provide workshops in the region. The jobholder must also work closely with the executive leaders of the PD providers and maintains the highest level of support. In addition, s/he will handle the application procedures from potential PD providers to become workshop providers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree position and five (5) years teaching experience in an IB authorised School or experience in international education which could be in a national school setting is preferred
- Significant successful experience and demonstrable management level track record in educational administration, business or professional development system
- Experience as IB workshop leader will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability in maintaining and managing data to inform sound financial decisions
- Exceptional presentation and writing/editing skills
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to take initiative and manage a wide scope of projects
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment
