ICT Planning Controller Ref 199

Salary: £35,581 - £44,476

A new opportunity has arisen for a planning controller based in the ICT directorate. Reporting to the ICT director as part of the ICT senior management team, the post will be responsible for planning and scheduling the ICT resources for all programmes and projects. The post will also be responsible for the implementation and management of the change management process.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have a proven track record in managing strategic and large scale projects and programmes of work. The job requires you to have in-depth knowledge and experience of all of the main programme and project management concepts, tools and techniques, including Prince 2.

You will have the ability to prioritise work submitted to ICT. To do this, you will need excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to challenge views and offer advice and guidance at all levels within the organization including executive level. There is also a requirement for excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills combined with a good awareness of trends and directions in technology.

Occasional weekend working and some international travel may be necessary.
