Calling Diploma Programme subject matter experts
The IB is currently working in cooperation with a course provider to create and deliver online Diploma Programme courses. The IB requires all online course developers to work with Diploma Programme subject matter experts in developing online Diploma Programme courses and to hire experienced Diploma Programme teachers to teach the courses.
The course developer intends to hire subject matter experts to assist in course development and to hire and train multiple teachers to teach higher level and standard level courses in the following subjects:
- Economics HL (two-year course)
- Economics SL (one-year course)
- Business and Management SL (one-year course) • Information technology in a global society (ITGS) HL (two-year course)
Instruction in the courses will commence in September 2009.
Who should apply?
Experienced IB Diploma Programme economics teachers with a student-centered, creative teaching style and strong internet literacy skills are encouraged to apply. Please send an e-mail with a CV and letter of interest by 25 February to dp.online@ibo.org.
Individuals will contract with the course provider for their services, not with the IB. The IB is facilitating outreach to experienced IB teachers for this opportunity.
