The IB Learner Profile: A Framework for Linking Faculty Growth and School Improvement
Campus leaders are required to create a professional development model to support faculty in ways that foster school improvement. In this DP workshop, administrators, coordinators and counselors will explore how to enhance faculty growth and revitalize their school’s mission statement using the IB Learner Profile. It will also assist leaders of IB schools in their mission of creating teachers who understand the important link between their own learning, the growth of their students, and the strengthening of the overall school mission. Upon completion of the workshop, it will become evident that faculty growth can best be seen as a collaborative model in which individual and institutional needs are negotiated in a series of essential agreements.
