Talleres Oficiales IB organizados por ACBIRP, del 20 al 22 de septiembre de 2012
La Asociación de colegios IB del Río de la Plata (ACBIRP) fue invitada por IB Américas en abril de 2010 a organizar talleres oficiales en Buenos Aires a partir de la segunda mitad del 2010.
La comisión directiva de la asociación, al aceptar esta invitación, tuvo la determinación de hacer que los talleres estuvieran a precios accesibles a los colegios de la zona del cono sur de Latinoamérica y que no generaran ganancia alguna. También tuvo en consideración el hecho de que la vasta mayoría de los colegios con diploma en esta sub-región tienen mas de diez años de experiencia y ha planeado la concentración en áreas especificas dentro de las asignaturas ofrecidas que se piensa sean de interés para los colegios participantes de esta categoría. Por esta razón todos los talleres que ofrecerán en septiembre de 2012 serán de nivel 2 y 3 en español, con excepción del taller de Language B que se dictará en inglés.
Todos los talleres tendrán lugar en Washington School, en la zona norte interior de la ciudad, ubicado a pocas cuadras de la estación Olleros del subte D. La dirección exacta es Federico Lacroze 2012 en Belgrano. Para aquellos participantes que requieran un hotel cercano, los Cabildo Suites se ubican en Cabildo 1950 relativamente cerca del colegio anfitrión.
El costo de los talleres será de US$ 300, con un descuento de 20% para participantes de los colegios miembros de ACBIRP. Habrá que agregar el costo de los almuerzos y coffee breaks que se confirmará antes de iniciar el período de inscripción. Los colegios argentinos deberán hacer una transferencia bancaria en pesos, al cambio del día del dólar a la cuenta de la asociación del Banco Supervielle:

Cualquier carga bancaria estara a cargo del colegio participante. Los colegios fuera de Argentina harán efectivos el pago en dólares al registrarse, al comienzo de los talleres.
La inscripción estará abierta a partir del 15 de abril de 2012 hasta el 15 de agosto de 2012 y los formularios de inscripción se enviaran a Susie Stoyle mediante correo electrónico a stoyles@fibertel.com.ar. No se aceptarán inscripciones tardías. Se enviara evidencia de inscripción dentro de la semana de su recepción y luego una agenda detallada para los tres días de los talleres.

IB Official workshops organized by ACBIRP, 20-22 September 2012
The Association of IB Schools of the River Plate (ACBIRP) was invited by IB Americas in April 2010 to organize official IB workshops in Buenos Aires as from the second half of that year.
The Executive Committee of the Association, in accepting this invitation, was determined to make workshops available at prices accessible for Latin American schools in the southern cone area without seeking to derive profit from the event. It also took into account the fact that the vast majority of IB diploma programme schools in this sub-region have more than ten years´ experience and has planned to concentrate on specific areas within the subjects on offer which are thought to be of interest to participating schools in this category. For this reason, all the workshops on offer in September 2012 will be Category 2 and 3 in Spanish, except for the Language B workshop which will be in English.
All workshops will be held at Washington School in the inner northern suburb of Belgrano. The exact address is: Avenida Federico Lacroze 2012, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, telephone 4772 8131. The school is located a few blocks from the subte D station Olleros. For participants needing accommodation, the Cabildo Suites (Cabildo 1950) is relatively near the host school.
The cost of the workshops will be US$ 300, with a discount of 20% for participants from ACBIRP member schools. To this should be added the cost of lunches and coffee breaks which will be confirmed before the beginning of the registration period. Argentine schools should make a bank transfer in pesos at the selling rate for the US dollar to the bank account of the Association at the Banco Supervielle:

Any bank charges should be covered by the participating school. Schools outside Argentina should pay in US dollars at the registration desk, at the beginning of the workshops.
Registration will be open from 15 April until 15 August 2012 and completed registration forms should be sent to Susie Stoyle by e-mail to stoyles@fibertel.com.ar. Late registrations will not be accepted. Acknowledgements will be sent within a week of receipt. A detailed agenda for the two days of the workshops will follow.
