Regional HR manager
Salary: US $54,364 - 72,484
The North American regional office is looking for a human resources (HR) manager who will provide a comprehensive HR service within the New York office and support outsourced staff. The successful applicant will also be part of the IB wide HR team and as such the post will report to both the regional director and the human resources director.
The position is responsible for:
- The recruitment, retention and development of the staff to ensure excellent service to the organization.
- The day to day working practices within the department, ensuring that they comply with legislation as necessary and reflect best practice, and undertake some of those activities directly.
- Ensuring that the organization’s human resource policies and procedures are implemented, monitoring accordingly to ensure they are effective and consistently applied across the region.
- Contributing to the human resources strategic plan and the human resource and administration operational plans to ensure that the directorate works towards meeting the overall IB strategic plan.
- Providing advice to line managers, and staff, on legislation and the interpretation of human resource policies and procedures to resolve problems and promote a harmonious working environment.
- Taking an active part in relevant committees (social, disaster recovery, data protection, etc.) as necessary.
- Managing the human resources budget.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in a related field such as Human Resource Management, Business, Organization Development or a minimum of 5 years proven human resources experience preferably in a generalist role.
- A minimum of one years experience as a supervisor or lead.
- SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) certified member or in process of achieving SHRM professional qualification.
- Prior experience as a payroll and benefits administrator with knowledge of employee benefit plans.
- Demonstrated strengths in organizational skills required in recruiting, managing, motivating and developing staff.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiating/analytical skills when dealing with external suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in French or Spanish in addition to English would be an advantage
