The IB information desk (IBID)
Each year, the IB receives more than 90,000 external enquiries from schools, examiners, workshop leaders, volunteers, government organizations and members of the public. This contact is through a variety of entry points, including telephone calls, emails and direct enquiries through the IB website.
In order to streamline the response-handling process, we are very pleased to announce the launch of the IB information desk (IBID).
IBID aims to enhance and improve the service currently being offered to stakeholders who contact the IB with queries. Global IB staff will be available to offer assistance 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and coverage will be provided in the three working languages of the IB; English, French and Spanish. IBID will also include a self help tool granting access to frequently asked questions, and additional weekend assistance will be available at peak times such as during examination periods.
IB answers will be the online channel to the IB information desk. Users will be able to simply click on the IB answers button on www.ibo.org or email ibid@ibo.org where an IBID representative will be on hand to help. The full IBID package will be available by April 2011.
The IB is committed to ensuring that members of the community are satisfied with the response they receive from the organization; IBID will strengthen this process.
